Hemalika & Frantz

“Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”

― Robert A. Heinlein

Their love story…

Frantz and Hema truly believe fate brought them together. Their story goes way back to 1994, when they met as teenagers. They were introduced through mutual friends and immediately felt connected and comfortable with one another. It was inevitable that every encounter between the two from that day on, would only strengthen their relationship.

The bond between Hema and Frantz really started to develop during Hurricane Sandy. They would talk on the phone for hours during a time when Hurricane Sandy caused widespread flooding and power outages that lasted weeks. During that period they really got a chance to explore each others minds and soon realized they had a lot in common. The conversations were deep and laughter was plentiful. Weeks later power was eventually restored, but it was obvious their friendship had only grown stronger.

Soon after, Frantz invited Hema to his foundation’s charity event. Hema accepted the invitation and it was no surprise that they had an amazing time. Hema was a chatterbox and talked endlessly but Frantz remained engaged and interested. Their first official date happened after Frantz asked Hema to accompany him to go see comedian Kevin Hart perform and without hesitation she said, “Absolutely!” They had a great time and as they were leaving the venue, Frantz reached for Hema’s hand and hasn’t let go since.

They share a special kind of love. They are equals in life and somehow the stars always align for them to get through any obstacle and help each other pursue their goals and dreams.

Their marriage…

The festivities began with their Sangeet party, where both families came together in celebration with a night full of colorful singing and dancing. The excitement continued the next day when Frantz made his entrance riding a white horse while his family and friends sang and danced alongside. Hemalika looked like a princess from a fairytale as she greeted her groom. Their wedding ceremony was culturally rich with tradition, and their reception was equally magical. It was a dream come true for these two soulmates and the beginning of a lifetime together.

“I was looking for a venue that had both beautiful outside grounds and a beautiful interior. Birchwood’s outside ceremony area is unmatched in Northern New Jersey, that was the first part that had us in awe when we first toured. Then we saw the Grand Ballroom and we knew we found our wedding venue.”
